Meziere of Lavon Texas states, " My biplane is a 1976 Stolp Starduster Too - N30JG. Powered by a Lycoming
O-360-A1A 180hp engine, she has full inverted systems and is a lot of fun to fly! She was built by James
Gilson back in the mid 70's. Mr. Gilson developed diabetes and lost his medical during the build process - never
being able to fly her solo. He completed her with loving care, however, and contracted Chuck Wentworth to fly off
the initial test/trial hours. Mr. Wentworth is a noted aerobatics and movie stunt pilot. He also runs an
aviation museum out in California. During her flight testing phase, he put her through just about every aerobatic
maneuver that she was capable of handling (spins, loops, immelman turns, hammerheads, cuban 8's, snap rolls, avalanche, etc...).
Each maneuver was dutifully logged in the airplane logbook, certifying that the airplane is legal to perform such maneuvers. Mr. Wentworth
and Mr. Gilson flew her across the country in the late '70's to visit his relatives in northern Missouri. I know all
of this because one of Mr. Gilson's relatives contacted me last year inquiring if I was indeed the owner of the airplane.
Mr. Gilson died many years ago, but his nephew remembers flying in it quite well. I have corresponded with him and Mr.
Gilson's sister who have been most helpful in providing a history of the airplane - along with a lot of photos of the build
log. Apparently, the airplane was quite a "treasure" to the family. I intend on flying up that
way sometime in the Spring to show the airplane to the relatives of the builder. Until then, she's safe in a hangar
in her home in Rockwall, TX (F46) where she is flown regularly".

of Skybolts (probably my first choice - but sadly either beat up or corroded) then at the Starduster in Tennessee - The Starduster
was essentially brand new - 5 hours since total restoration and SMOH - with excellent workmanship and paperwork on the restoration,
so I bought it hand had it ferried to Oregon where I've finished the restoration with a new panel and additional finish.
Got it re-registered and new airworthiness in 2008 and learned to fly it. FUN!!"
